Solutions Architect

Solutions Architects are distinguished by their commitment to understanding business and technology needs from a customer’s point of view, and bringing them creative solutions using technology. An SA at PITSS tends to be attached to one or two long-running projects at a time, and is responsible for keeping both the customer and our development teams clear on all requirements.

Solutions Architects generally grow into the role from a related background in either Project Management, Business Analysis, or Senior Software Development.

  • Communicating directly with customers
  • Help customers define software projects
  • Write documentation that defines and drives the project
  • Work with the Project Manager to translate the solution into sprint plans
  • Work with Tech Leads to clarify technical requirements
  • Facilitate discussion between Tech Leads and customers’ IT staffs
  • Support the Sales and Marketing team with content creation
What should a succesful S.A. be able to do?
  • Express ideas in clear language to non-technical audience
  • Help a non-technical audience agree to technical solutions
  • Identify and clarify issues when developers or customers are confused
What does an average S.A.'s day look like?
  • Join SCRUM calls on their projects to answer questions for developers
  • Maintain project documentation to reflect updated requirements
  • Proactively call, email, or message customers to clarify requirements
  • Discuss potential new projects with our Sales and Marketing teams
Minimum Qualifications
All candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, MSITM, Business Analysis, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, problem-solving attitude
  • Prior experience working on or managing a software development team
  • Examples of project specification documents
Excellent Qualifications
Distinguished candidates will give specific examples of any of the following:
  • Software development experience with one or more of these languages:
    • Java
    • JavaScript
    • C# / .Net
    • SQL / PLSQL
  • Experience with development team infrastructure tools:
    • Jenkins for Continuous Integration
    • Postman for RESTful unit testing
    • BitBucket for deployment
    • Git for source control
  • Experience with Project Management, especially using JIRA
  • Professional success in Sales or Marketing

Account Manager

PITSS is seeking an energetic, innovative account manager who is responsible for customer acquisition, retention and growth.

You’ll join our relationship-driven team and take charge of developing detailed sales/marketing plans and maximizing sales opportunities to drive results and inspire productivity and teamwork.

The role requires a strong focus on new business development, in addition to, up-selling and cross-selling to existing clients and securing contract renewals.


BA/BS or equivalent educational background


2-4 years B2B Sales experience, preferably in technology


Passion for technology and innovative solutions


Self-motivated with high degree of initiative and drive


Detail-oriented with strong attention to tactical execution and follow-through


Net New business hunter background-clear understanding of pipeline development and management


Excellent problem-solving skills and critical-thinking abilities
