Power South Energy – Extending Oracle Forms application with ADF-Mobile

PowerSouth serves the wholesale energy needs in Alabama and northwest Florida, with more than a million consumers. The majority of all business processes is implemented in more than 2000 Oracle Forms based applications. Power South approached PITSS to develop an ADF Mobile application to enable inspection-crews to access and maintain relevant data remotely via Apple iPADs. The ADF Mobile application uses GPS localization data and SQL-Lite Database synchronization to capture inspection data. The new ADF Mobile application is the initial phase to introduce new ADF technology to Power South Energy which intends to expand the usage of ADF also to enhance and replace part of the existing Oracle Forms application based on PITSS.CON functionality.
