The new PITSS.CON 25.1.3
has been released

With full Oracle Forms 14c support,
enhanced APEX integration, and
next-level modernization features

Stuttgart / Troy, August 4, 2025 – PITSS, a leading provider of software solutions and consulting for Oracle Forms modernization and application lifecycle management, has announced the release of PITSS.CON 25.1.3. The update delivers powerful new capabilities across four key areas, helping development teams streamline upgrades, enhance hybrid landscapes, and accelerate modernization.

What’s new in PITSS.CON 25.1.3 – at a glance

Full Support for Oracle Forms 14.1.2

With PITSS.CON 25.1.3, customers can now leverage the full range of PITSS.CON capabilities – including Module Handling, Application Analysis, Application Engineering, and Source Code Analytics – for Oracle Forms version 14.1.2. This enables not only smooth migrations from earlier Forms versions, but also seamless use of new 14c features such as dynamic block sorting or extended property support across the entire application. The result: long-term support and meaningful functional improvements in Forms environments.

Enhanced APEX Integration

The APEX loading and analysis feature has been completely reworked to support the latest APEX versions. Developers can now import any APEX application into the PITSS.CON repository, making it ideal for managing hybrid environments where Forms and APEX share data models and database objects. With advanced cross-technology dependency analysis, users can instantly identify where PL/SQL code, tables, or functions are used across both platforms – improving maintainability and insight.

Major Improvements in Forms2APEX Modeler

The updated Forms2APEX Modeler brings major enhancements for application modernization. Support for more region types and Forms item properties has been added, and original layout structures (based on x/y coordinates) are now translated into responsive HTML grid layouts in APEX – reducing manual effort during layout adjustments.
In addition, the integrated modernization checklist has been enhanced with burn-down charts, progress indicators at module level, and cluster visualizations – all designed to improve project tracking for both developers and managers. For newcomers to APEX, the checklist now includes direct links to migrated components in the APEX Page Designer, making onboarding easier for Forms experts entering the APEX world.

Sneak Peek: ProFind 2.0 in Development

The next generation of ProFind, PITSS.CON’s productivity and usage analytics module, is in the works and scheduled for release by the end of September 2025. However, several core features are already included in 25.1.3 – such as integration with WLS trace and DB log files, LiveERM, and an overhauled code coverage system. The new ProFind will offer even deeper insights into usage patterns, object-centric dependencies, and modernization potential.
